The singer released a statement after the pictures appeared on the Internet as well, explaining that she was fleeing the paparazzi: "I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us." The photos showed Spears driving in traffic, with her son on her lap, rather than in an infant car seat. Spears claimed that this experience was a "horrifying, frightful encounter". The singer who gave birth to a boy last September concluded with the following statement: "I love my child and would do anything to protect him." |
