Uma Thurman Awarded French Honour

Uma Thurman has been made a Knight in the Order of Arts and Letters in France, for her contribution to cinema.

The star was given the medal of honour by Gilles Jacob, President of the Cannes Festival.

The award coincides with the release of the romantic comedy Pride in French cinemas, starring Thurman and Meryl Streep.

The Order of Arts and Letters aims to recognise those who distinguish themselves in artistic or literary fields, through their contributions in France and around the world.
