Madonna Back After Surgery

Madonna recently underwent surgery to remove a hernia, it was revealed at the Brit Awards, where the star was given the title of Best International Singer.  She underwent the surgical procedure last week, after an energetic performance at the Grammy Awards.

The "material girl" did not stay long at the ceremony, opting to return home to continue her recovery. Hernias can happen at any age, but are usually due to straining the muscles of the abdominal wall. They are very common amongst athletes.
