Kylie Minogue has shot her first magazine cover after nine months of battling cancer. According to The Sun, the star accepted to pose for the April issue of Another magazine, edited by Kate Moss' ex-fiancé, Jefferson Hack. Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer last May, but after surgery and chemotherapy, the singer is now in remission, receiving preventative radiotherapy treatment. The superstar delighted campaigners in Staffordshire recently, by sending a personal email of support for their fundraising event last Thursday. Women Fighting For Herceptin invited the star, along with several others, to the gala night in aid of their call for the miracle drug to be made available for breast cancer patients in the UK. Despite the fact that Minogue was unable to attend due to her radiotherapy treatment in Australia, she sent a note of support to the group, saying: "I was asked to participate in this gala concert for the girls. As I am focusing on my own recovery from breast cancer I am unable to participate personally, but I send this message with my very best wishes for a wonderful evening. This is a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness and also to raise funds for all the women fighting for Herceptin." |
