South African actress Charlize Theron has been named the Woman of the Year by Elle magazine. The well-known celebrity was awarded her title yesterday in London. British actress Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener, Constantine), who is six months pregnant with her first chlid, was named Best Actress after missing out at the Baftas, while the Best Actor title was given to American Matt Damon. The Best designer award was won by Roland Mouret, who has seen runaway success this year after his Galaxy dress was worn by several celebs, spawning high street copies accross the land. Erin O'Connor was 2005's Top Model, while Karl Largerfeld won an award for his outstanding Contribution to fashion. Yasmin le Bon, June Sarpong and the Sugababes were also honoured. |
