The lead singer of the group REM, Michael Stipe, will be one of the performers at a concert organised to stop the fighting in Iraq. The concert, entitled Bring 'Em Home Now!, will take place in New York on March 20th. As the name indicates, the organisers behind show are hpoing to persuade the Bush administration to bring US soldiers home from Iraq, on the third anniversary of the American invasion of Iraq. As well as Stipe, Rufus Wainwright, Fischerspooner and Peaches have also confirmed that they will be performing. |
