Joaquin Phoenix to Play CIA Agent

Joaquin Phoenix will play a CIA agent in the film adaptation of the Tom Clancy book, Without Remorse.

Phoenix will play Mr. Clark, an elite commando member rescued from Vietnam after being imprisoned with 20 other pilots, who is hired as a CIA agent upon his return to the States. The thriller will be in cinemas in 2007.

Phoenix is currently awaiting the upcoming Oscars ceremony, where he has been nominated for Best Actor for his work in the film Walk the Line.
