Reese Witherspoon has become the best paid female movie star, ahead of Julia Roberts.

According to ContactMusic, the star was paid $29 million for the horror film Our Family Trouble, the largest sum ever paid to an actress, surpassing even Julia Roberts who commands $24 million per movie.

The 29 year old star of the Legally Blonde films, is shining brighter than ever, with recent success in the movie Walk the Line, which has lead to an Oscar nomination, pushing her to the peak of her career.
