| Glam rocker Gary Glitter has been sentenced to three years behind bars in Vietnam for having sex with two young girls, aged 11 and 12. The 61 year-old man will also be required to pay compensation to the girls families, as well as their legal fees. Glitter, who maintains his innocence, now has 15 days to file an appeal. This isn't the first time that the singer has been arrested for a sexual offence, ten years ago, Glitter was arrested in England for having pornographic photos of children on his computer. He was sentenced to four months in prison. Glitter, whose real name is Paul Francis Gadd, is best known for his hits, Rock and Roll (Part Two), I'M the Leader of the Gang and Do You Wanna Touch Me, which was popular in the 1970s. |
