Dana Reeve, widow of actor Christopher Reeve, has died of lung cancer at the age of 44. Reeve, who spent several years as caregiver to her quadrapalegic husband, died on Monday evening at New York's Sloan-Kettering Medical Center. The non-smoker was diagnosed with lung cancer last August. Dana and Christopher Reeve began the Christopher Reeve Foundation, which helps to fund research for spinal cord injuries. Christopher Reeve, best known for his role as Superman, was paralised after falling from a horse in 1995. He died in October, 2004. Dana and Christopher have a 13 year-old son, Will. |
