Rod Stewart Ordered to Pay $3 Million

Singer Rod Stewart has been ordered to pay nearly $3 million to a Las Vegas casino.

Stewart failed to perform at the casino for a New Year's concert in 2000, despite signing a contract. The hotel/casino paid Stewart an advance of $2 million, which was never returned. In addition to the $2 million, the judge ordered he star to pay interest to the Rio Hotel and Casino.

Stewart's lawyer is filing an appeal.
