Troubled superstar Michael Jackson has asked American authorities for 24 additional hours to pay wages owed to workers at his Neverland Ranch. The star, who owes thousands of dollars in wages, faces being sued by the state of California if he doesn't meet his obligations. Jackson, who has made his home in Bahrain, asked the Department of Industrial Relations for the extension, and representatives for the star said, "they are trying to come up with the money." The Department of Industrial Relations gave Jackson until 5:00 yesterday to pay his employees, some of whom have not been paid since December. |
