British supermodel Naomi Campbell was arrested on Thursday morning in New York. According to Access Hollywood, the model attacked her 41 year-old cleaning woman in her home, after she reportedly accused her of stealing a pair of jeans. The woman was treated at Lenox Hill hospital for lacerations to her head, believed to have been caused by a blo with a mobile phone. A spokesperson for the star said in a statement, "We believe this is a case of retaliation, because Naomi had fired her housekeeper earlier this morning. We are confident the courts will see it the same way." Campbell was lead away in handcuffs. It's not the first time that Campbell has been up in court for violent temper, in August, 2004, police were called to her Manhattan apartment for a domestic altercation and back in 1998 she was found guilty of attacking an assistant with a telephone. This will be the seventh time the star has been accused of assault, she has admitted several allegations and has had counselling for anger management in the past. She now faces up to seven years in prison. |
