| The film United 93, based on the true story of the plane that went down in Pennsylvania on September 11th, 2001, will be the opener for New York's Tribeca Film Festival. Festival organisers have confirmed that the film which was written and directed by Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy) will be presented first at the competition. Founded by actor Robert DeNiro, the festival first took place eight months after the events of September 11th, as the actor hoped to be able to revitalise Manhattan after the tragedy. The Tribeca Film Festival starts on April 25th and will end on May 7th. |
