Kiefer Sutherland Signs Three-Year Deal

Kiefer Sutherland has agreed to star in the television series, 24, for three more seasons.

The actor, who has played Jack Bauer for five seasons, will earn $40 million with his new contract.  He is also the executive producer of the series.  Sutherland has called the 24 "one of the most creative and rewarding experiences of my career".

The real-time television series, which began in 2001, has revolutionised the genre, with each episode depicts the events of just one day of the story.
