People magazine has confirmed that Ewan McGregor and his wife have adopted a four year-old girl from Mongolia. McGregor, 35, and his wife, Mavrakis, 39, already have two other children. Mavrakis, who was born in France, met the star on the set of the British television series Kavanagh QC. The couple has been married for 11 years. In 2004, McGregor and his best friend took a three-month motorcycle journey as part of the Bravo television series, which took them to Mongolia during their 20,000 kilometre trek. Before the trip, McGregor said that his wife and children "understand and are fully behind us, (though) I think if the whole thing was called off tomorrow they would probably be delighted." |
