The star of the television series Desperate Housewives, Teri Hatcher, has been offered an apology from an English newspaper for printing a false story. On Wednesday, The Sun printed an apology for a news story in which they claimed that the 41 year-old American actress was seen having sexual relations in a van parked outside of her home. The newspaper apologised to Hatcher, saying that the story was, "totally incorrect". Furthermore, the paper was sorry, "for the embarrassment caused," by the story. An undisclosed sum of money was also paid to the star after the case was heard in the courts. Hatcher is also sueing another tabloid, The Daily Sport, for printing the same story. |
