Viggo Mortensen To Work with David Cronenberg

American actor Viggo Mortensen will work with Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg in Eastern Promises.

Mortensen (The Lord of the Rings) and Cronenberg have worked together previously in 2005's A History of Violence.

In this story set in London, a nurse is trying to find the identity of a girl who dies during childbirth. It is then discovered that the girl, a Russian, was part of an international sex trafficking scandal. Mortensen will play a man with ties to the Russian mafia.
