The next Indiana Jones, directed by George Lucas, will focus more on dialogue, and less on special effects. In an interview with MTV, the famous director stated that Hollywood films need to adapt to the new climate in cinema. He added, "I think Tom Cruise proved that people are getting bored with that kind of stuff... What they want to see is something different. And 'Indiana Jones,' if nothing else, is always different." Lucas was very vague about the production timeline. "We're working on it, we're working on it. We've been working on it for 10 years. I think it'll be a great film, but it's completely different. It's still got a lot of action, and it's still very funny, " he said. Following criticism that the script was not strong enough, Indiana Jones 4, starring Harrison Ford, will be filmed in he Dominican Republic over the next few months. It should be in cinemas in May 2007. |
