Pete Doherty's dangerous antics are finally catching up with him, it has been reported that his band Babyshambles have been dropped by their recording label, Rough Trade.
Doherty was filmed taking heroin by MTV last week shortly before he squirted a syringe of his own blood at the camera crew. It was the last straw for Rough Trade, who's spokesperson confirmed that the band no longer have a contract with them. A music industry insider told the Mirror: "There's only so much they could take... and Pete's gone way beyond that. Rough Trade backed Pete as much as they could."
Doherty also came in for grief from ex-girldfriend Kate Moss, who is said to have lost her temper when she heard the story. The troubled singer told a Swiss newspaper that the pair were talking outside her house when she became angry and hit and kicked him: "She was furious. She hit me until I was black and Blue. She whacked me with her fists and feet. I'M OK but she injured my finger." |
