After nearly two stormy years of marriage, it looks as though Britney Spears has finally called time on her relatinship with Kevin Federline.
Sources say that the couple have been leading separate lives for weeks and that Federline has been banished to a bachelor flat in the basement of their plush California home. Spears, 24, is said to have had enough of her errant husband's friends and is fed up of returning home to find him smoking and drinking around their young son, Sean Preston. Things came to a head last week when she publicly broke down in tears after a run-in with the paparazzi, leading friends to fear for her happiness.
Spokespeople have refused to deny claims that the pair are heading for the divorce courts, but Spears stoked the fire by posting a poem entitled 'Remembrance of Who I Am' on her website at the weekend, which is belived to be a thinly-veiled attack on her husband.
Sources say that she was desperate to hang on the remains of her relationship for her family and wait to see if things got any better with the birth of her second child in October, but that the situation has deteriorated so much that she no longer feels able to. |
