Sting is set to release a new CD in October, inspired by ditties from the 16th century. The former The Police singer announced the news on his official website, saying that the album, which is yet untitled, is a, "strange record, a delightful record and I think people will be intrigued by it." He added, "The album is voice and lute, there are a few four part harmonies that I sing and it's all music from the 16th century." Sting begins a European tour on June 4th, visiting Russia, Israel, Scandinavia, Monaco and Lithuania. |
