Comic actor Adam Sandler is taking his first serious role in the drama Empty City. The star has already started working on the film which tells the story of a man who loses his family on September 11th, 2001. In an interview with ComingSoon, Sandler talked about his experience, "I don't know how to describe the movie, how to sum it up... I can't wait for Mike Binder, the man who wrote it, and hear him discuss it, because I don't know how to phrase this. But it's just about a man who's been through a terrible thing -- he lost his family in 9/11 -- and he has a hard time just living life and just being in the moment." The movie is not based on a true character, but several 9/11 survivors and families were interviewed during the writing of the script. Jada Pinkett Smith and Liv Tyler have also been signed up, but no release date has yet been announced. |
