The soon-to-be former Mrs. Paul McCartney, Heather Mills McCartney, is fighting back against the media reports that she was a prostitute in her 20s. The 38 year-old ex-model has filed a lawsuit against the News of the World, claiming defamation for the story, which appeared on Sunday. Mills McCartney is currently going through a divorce from her famous husband after four years of marriage. A lawyer for the woman said, "Heather is very distressed by this article. She continues to recover slowly from her revision amputation operation and has suffered weight loss, anxiety and sleeping problems as a result of the stress and anxiety of the break-up of her marriage." The attorney added, "The coverage of this in certain newspapers has caused further distress and illness to her." |
