Victoria Beckham has come in for criticism on her weight once again, this time from anorexia groups, over accusations that her super-thin image promotes the disease.
Pictured recently in Germany supporting England in the World Cup, Posh has been snapped out and about in a range of tiny shorts and vest tops, which show off her slender legs and arms. Following a report into pro-anorexia websites by mental health charity Sane, it is feared that very slim celebrities such as Beckham are held up as 'thinspiration' by sufferers of the disease. While admitting that she 'came ver close' to anorexia in her days with the Spice Girls, Beckham herself has since denied that she suffers from the disease.
Dr Dee Dawson, of the Rhodes Farm eating disorder clinic in London, told This is London that she holds up well-rounded celebrities such as Catherine Zeta Jones and Coleen McLoughlin as inspiration for her patients instead. |
