Kylie Minogue has spoken out about her battle with breast cancer, in an interview with Cat Deely, aired on Sky 1 at the weekend.
The Australian singer spoke about her terror at her diagnosis, saying that her and her family 'fell to pieces'. Her battle still isn't over, Kylie is currently under the care of doctors in Paris, recovering from her gruelling treatment regime with the support of her boyfriend, Olivier Martinez. In a message of hope to cancer sufferers around the world, she told of the strength she found in herself to help her through some of the darkest moments of her life: "You're stripped down, you're kind of down near zero. But still it seems that most people come out at the other end feeling more like themselves than ever before."
Kylie is also planning a series of comeback concerts towards the end of the year, when she goes back on the road with the Showgirl Tour, delayed last May when she fell ill. She will be playing two special dates for UK fans at Wembley Arena in January, in a modified show which makes allowances for her health. Tickets go on sale on 21th July. |
