Singer Britney Spears has received an apology from a magazine that claimed her marriage all but over. According to ITV, National Enquirer wrongly declared that the Toxic singer was divorcing her husband, Kevin Federline. The magazine has taken back what it said about the couple's marriage through the following message, published in the magazine: "We now accept that their marriage is not over and they are not getting divorced. These allegations are untrue and we now accept Britney's position that the statements are without foundation. We apologise for any distress caused." Spears, 24, filed a complaint at the Florida office of the National Enquirer, sueing the magazine for defamation, without asking for compensation. Her complaint was upheld. Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were married in September 2004 and have a 10 month-old son, Sean Preston. The star is now pregnant with her second child. |
