Superstar adventurer Indiana Jones will be returning to the silver screen for a fourth installment of the film series. In an interview with Empire magazine to celebrate the 25th birthday of Raiders of the Lost Arc (1981), director George Lucas answered questions about the Indiana Jones franchise, and spoke out about the possibility of a fourth film. “We’re basically going to do 'The Phantom Menace'”, says Lucas. “People’s expectations are way higher than you can deliver. You could just get killed for the whole thing… We would do it for fun and just take the hit with the critics and the fans... But nobody wants to get into it unless they are really happy with it." The temporary title for the new project is Indiana Jones and the Ravaged Times. It will be produced by Steven Spielberg and production is expected to start in 2008. |
