Singer Pete Doherty's mother has spoken out about her son, saying that the Babyshambles frontman and model Kate Moss are deeply in love. According to The Times, Doherty and Moss are an item once more, as the troubled singer once again battles his addictions. Doherty's mother, Jackie, believes that the young couple's love has endured a media circus, proving that their feelings are real. She said, "I think everyone should leave them alone. They've been deeply in love and people just won't leave them alone." The 52 year-old woman added that she never thought her son would become addicted to drugs, and had often urged him to get treatment. After pleading guilty to five counts of drug possession on Friday, Doherty has been ordered into detox centre the Priory as part of his bail conditions, before he returns to court in September for sentencing, which could include prison time. He is reported to have behaved violently and punched a nurse on Sunday night and is said to be finding the treatment programme tough. |
