The 20 year-old son of Anna Nicole Smith has been found dead in his bed in the Bahamas. According to Femalefirst, Daniel Smith's body was discovered yesterday, just three days after Anna Nicole Smith, 38, gave birth to a baby girl. Howard K. Stern, the star's lawyer, released the following statement, "We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor. Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being." Smith rose to stardom after being named Playmate of the Year by Playboy magazine in 1993 and made headlines by marrying multi-millionaire J. Marshall Howard, who was 89 years old. The two were married for just 14 months before he died. Following her husband's death, Smith began a legal battle with Howard's son, E. Pierce Marshall, over his estate. |
