Rockers Green Day and U2 will perform at the pre-game ceremony for the re-opening of the New Orleans football stadium. On September 25, the two bands will take the stage at the Louisiana Superdome. The stadium was used as a temporary shelter for thousands of people who lost their homes in Hurricane Katrina, which devastated much of the southern United States. For the first time since the tragedy, the New Orleans Saints will battle the Atlanta Falcons, both members of the National Football League (NFL). The Saints have been playing in Baton Rouge and San Antonio since the hurricane struck last year. |
