American actor Sean Penn does not respect the anti-smoking laws in Canada. The 46 year-old actor is being heavily criticised for ignoring the law. The Mystic River star recently lit a cigarette during a press conference at the Toronto Film Festival, where he was promoting his film All The King's Men. In Ontario, it is against the law to smoke in public spaces. At the moment, several people are campaigning for the star to be brought to justice. Jim Watson, the Minister for the Promotion of Health, said, "He should be charged." Michael Perly of the Action on Tobacco campaign added, "It was such a flagrant breach of the law. It absolutely should be a target." |
