Johnny Depp refused freedom of home town

Johnny Depp requested the freedom of his home town of Falmouth in Cornwall, but was refused! Apparently there are other people in the town who are more deserving of the honour, which gives a person, among other privileges, the right to park his horse and cart outside the town hall and taking his sheep out in the town on market days. Johnny, you can have the freedom of our town any day!
