Actress Kate Winslet is not happy that she has been labelled a bad mother by the press. According to website Contactmusic, Winslet will not hesitate to attack any members of the media if they dare to suggest she is a bad mother again. The press went on the attack after Winslet divorced her first husband, Jim Threapleton, in 2000, when her daughter Mia was still a baby. The star of Quills and Holy Smoke was accused of abandoning her child. Winslet explained, "People can throw anything at me they want, but don't mess with me as a mother, because I will get out a knife and come after you. "It's really not fair. It's a vulnerable time. I was very young - I was 25. It was really, really hard." |
