Madonna's adopted baby David has been spotted wearing the distinctive red Kabbalah bracelet, symbol of the mystic Jewish faith. Madonna is one of many high-profile followers of Kabbalah, whose devotees/bandwagon hoppers also include Britney Spears, Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell. It is not known what religion David was born into, though Malawi is a largely Christian country with Muslim communities in the south. Madonna has made no official comment on Sharon Osbourne's recent claims that she "bought a baby" like a Louis Vuitton handbag.
Meanwhile, Madonna is to appear on BBC2's Newsnight on Wednesday
night in her first British interview since her adoption of little David. The interview will be filmed in New York, where the singer is currently working, accompanied by Lourdes, Rocco and David. |
