Colin Firth's new film

The gorgeous Colin Firth is to star in Genova, a modern ghost story from director Michael Winterbottom.

Firth will play a recently widowed man who moves to Italy with his teenage daughter to begin a new life, but who cannot shake off the ghosts from his past.

Winterbottom is currently directing A Mighty Heart, which stars Angelina Jolie.

Colin Firth is best known for his performances in the films Bridget Jones's Diary, Love Actually and Pride and Prejudice.
