Sandra Bullock and Queen Latifah: Women of the Year

Sandra Bullock and Queen Latifah have been named the Women of the Year by Glamour magazine.

Bullock was chosen for her discreet but huge million dollar donations to charities following the September 11, 2001 tragedy and the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004.

Queen Latifah, whose real name is Dana Owens, was chosen for being an excellent role model.

A ceremony was held on Monday at Carnegie Hall in New York City in honour of both women.
