Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly shelved their plans to adopt an Indian child in the wake of the controversy surrounding Madonna's adoption of baby David. The couple were rumoured to have chosen an orphanage from which to adopt. They wanted a baby less than 18 months old, preferably a boy (but Angelina is also said to want another girl).
The couple have been saddened by the negative publicity over Madonna's adoption of David and don't want to go through the same heartache that she has been through, according to the unamed source. Brad and Angelina have three children, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh, and have made no secret of their desire for more. |
