Rachel Weisz has sparked controversy by saying it's fine to drink alcohol when you're over three months pregnant. The stunning actress, who gave birth to son Henry earlier this year, was slammed by medical experts who say even small amounts could be dangerous. The government is currently reviewing guidelines as experts warn that drinking could put unborn babies at risk of Foetal Alcohol Syndrome, which can lead to learning difficulties, poor co-ordination and attention deficit disorder. Abstinence is advised in the US and Canada, but in Europe the rules are less clear-cut. Rachel reportedly said it was fine to drink wine when pregnant, and added: "I mean in Europe they drink it". |
