Michael Jackson's first UK performance in nine years was a total flop.
The singer, who had already angered organisers of the World Music Awards with his extravagant back-stage demands, left Chris Brown to perform Thriller, the song he was supposed to sing, and arrived an hour late for his performance. Jacko stumbled his way through a few lines of We Are The World, backed by a gospel choir of children, told the audience 'I love you' several times and left before the end of the song to boos from the crowd, who had paid exorbitent prices for tickets. |
