Da Vinci sequel

The Da Vinci Code team is working on a sequel, to be based on the prequel novel Angels and Demons.

According to IMDB, a follow-up for the film is in the pipeline. Screenplay writer Akiva Goldsman, who adapted Dan Brown's novel for the silver screen, will be paid $3.8 million to write the screenplay.

Controversial thriller Angels and Demons features the Robert Langdon character and a plot to destroy Vatican City. The sequel will hit cinemas in 2008.
