Celine Dion has cancelled her next five shows as well as an appearance at the Billboard Music Awards due to illness. The 38-year-old star, who has been performing her A New Day show at her permanent venue in Las Vegas, is suffering from a respiratory infection. Dion is being treated for mycoplasma bronchitis, and has been ordered to rest and recuperate. The singer's concerts have been cancelled until Sunday, after which Dion was scheduled for a break before she returns on December 28th. The singer began her contract with Caesar's Palace in March 2003, and will finish her Las Vegas shows next year. |
