Former Scary Spice Melanie B has spoken out about her shock split from Eddie Murphy.
The 31-year-old star, who is five months pregnant, says there is no doubt her unborn baby is his. She also revealed she only learned of the split after her friends saw a TV interview Eddie gave in the US in which he said they were no longer together and even questioned the paternity of Mel's child.
Melanie issued a statement saying: "I am obviously upset and distressed at some of the comments made by Eddie Murphy to the media. I have no idea why anybody would want to conduct themselves in this kind of manner about such a personal matter in such a public way. My main concern is for the well-being of my daughter Phoenix and of course the baby. I was astonished what Eddie said - there is absolutely no question that Eddie is the father. My main concern is to concentrate on the well-being of my daughter and baby." |
