Oprah Winfrey has jumped to the defence of Madonna over her adoption of David Banda from Malawi. Earlier this week, Winfrey visited South Africa to open a school for underprivileged girls. Winfrey doesn't understand the the negative reactions to Madonna's adoption of little David, and she explained, "I applaud Madonna. I think it's an amazing thing that she did, and it makes me sick that people criticize her, because there are millions of children in this world who will die because no one came to save them." Since last October, Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have been going through the adoption process with the Malawian government. |
