Previous Playmate, Anna Nicole Smith has decided to go after the 88.5 million dollars that her late husband had left her. The star decided not to give up after the Amercian Court of Appeals refused to pay her inheritance. The provocative blond's attorney, Howard Stern, revealed to People magazine that they wouldn't let it rest. "We will seek rehearing from the 9th Circuit as a whole, and the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary," Howard Stern, Smith's lawyer, tells People. The Federal Court of Appeals reversed a verdict that granted 88.5 million dollars in inheritance to Smith, from her late husband, petroleum tycoon and billionaire, J. Howard Marshall. In 2002, after a huge legal battle between Smith and Marshall's son, E. Pierce Marshall, a California judge had established that Smith's 90 year old husband was definitely in love with the 26 year old star. She was therefore, within her rights to receive a part of the inheritance of his fortune when he died in 1995. |
