Courtney Love has chosen the actor she wants to play her late husband Kurt Cobain in a biopic of his turbulent life: none other than hunky Scottish actor Ewan McGregor.
The Trainspotting star is being lined up to play the Nirvana frontman in the film after Courtney Love secured the rights to Kurt's biography, 'Heavier Than Heaven.' The Rock legend committed suicide in 1994, aged just 27, leaving Courtney widowed. She has never re-married, and lived with their teenage daughter Frances Bean.
According to our source, a number of actors were considered but Ewan has emerged as the number one choice. At 35, McGregor is significantly older than Cobain, but is young-looking enough to play him and experienced enough for the role. Love confirmed that the project was in "an embryonic stage" last week. |
