Unlike many paarnoid Hollywood mums, Jennifer Garner was in no hurry to lose her baby weight quickly, but is now happy with her post-pregnancy figure, which she showed off in a figure-hugging white beaded gown at the Golden Globes on Monday night.
The actress, who is married to Ben Affleck, gave birth to daughter Violet last year and has been making the most of the joys of motherhood without worrying about the pressure to be skinny. She said, "Losing the baby weight took me a long, long time. I just wasn't that motivated. I wanted to play with Violet. To slow down and go at her pace has been such a gift."
Eventuallly Jennifer set to and lost the weight sensibly through exercise and a junk-free diet: "I got on the treadmill, stopped stuffing my face and lost the weight. I cut out croissants, bagels and muffins - all the good stuff. And went back to having a salad once a day and protein." |
