Actress Keira Knightley is to take legal action against The Daily Mail after the newspaper published an article on anorexia which included a picture of her and suggestions she lied about having an eating disorder.
The 21-year-old, who has repeatedly denied rumours of anorexia and insists her worryingly skinny frame is normal, was upset that the paper inferred she was to blame for eating disorders among teenage girls. The article included a report on the death of a young girl from anorexia alongside a photo of Keira on a beach looking extremely thin.
Keira's lawyers released a statement saying the actress wants to challenge the alleged implication that she is in some way responsible for the girl's tragic death, and the suggestion she lied about having an eating disorder. |
