The punk-rock trio Green Day has offered money earned on one of their hits to the American Red Cross, who will use it to help the victims of Tsunami in Southeast asia. Lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong and the group, decided to give the money from the legal downloading of the song Boulevard of Broken Dream from iTunes to the victims. Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong says, "This is the worst global disaster we've seen in our lifetimes. We felt it was important to take part in the relief efforts any way we could." |
