Avril Lavigne to release new album

Canadian singer Avril Lavigne will release a her new album on April 16th.

The CD, entitled The Best Damn Thing, will follow new "Girlfriend", according to Billboard magazine.

The magazine also revealed some song titles: "I Can Do Better When You're Gone", "Everything Back But You" and title track "The Best Damn Thing".

The 22-year-old singer wrote 15 songs for the new disc and also collaborated with her husband, Sum 41 singer Deryk Whibley. The couple got married last year.
